Ocean Shores or Bust!

Confession time.... I am behind in blogging, yet again!!  I've just been too busy having fun.

When I left off, our motto was Ocean Shores or Bust!!  Actually it is an easy drive from the Long Beach Peninsula.  We had been at the Peninsula for over a wonderful low key week and we are ready to roll.

We headed to a Marina that I had camped at about five years ago as most of the Ocean Shores area is either private parks or State Parks that are expensive AND booked far in advance.

There was room for us at the Quinault Marina & RV Park.  It is a lowend private park..... but it hs the most amazing beach right out your doorstep.

Probably the best beach in Ocean Shores. Verizon cell works and Millenicom and a couple of TV channels come in by antenna.  No trees, grassy sites, average room between the sites, a few full timers near the entrance, which I think are native fishermen.

Its all about that close by, clean, awesome beach.

There is plenty of wildlife to keep us entertained.
There are plenty of friendly deer and birds and during some winters there are snowy owls hiding out in this area.

We chatted with folks walking up and down the beach and found out that many of the locals like to walk on this area of beach as the firm sand and easy access to parking along the beach make the access easy.... I certainly agree.

Westport, a small fishing community is located across the bay and has charter fishing boats that leave early every morning in hopes of catching the biggest fish...or fish Tale (Is that something like a lie?)
.

If I had a home in Ocean Shores, It would need to have a viewing deck like this one which looked like a lighthouse.  What a perfect place to watch the waves and winter storms.

Mostly, we walked and walked and walked....

Until the sun faded into the west....

Boy, the wind can sure blow, and blow..... It rocked us long into the night.

  3. We saw that RV park when we did the Damon Point hike. Nice beach but the park looked like a tent city! Of course you can't beat that location.
