Falling Sunset

You know when you the first glimpse the setting sun, and know that it's going to be a butte!  You rush for the camera on a mission for that perfect picture.   Then it is a matter of getting the perfect dimensions with the right accents and colors to balance the picture. I snapped the first of what should have been many pictures waiting for the perfect one.   Then........

One and only sunset pic for the day

I lost my balance and head over tea kettle I went.  Cement stairs are unforgiving.   Since it was awhile before I could breathe or MOVE, I didn't get any more pictures.  Truth be told, I cried.

But I did save the camera!

After two days I can walk or should I say hobble on it with a cane.

Like my fancy cane?

Since one of my approaches to life is to laugh instead of cry.....
I thought you might enjoy this thought for the day.

Careful grooming may take twenty years off a woman's age,
but you can't fool a long flight of stairs.

Do you suppose this is a message from the universe to SLOW down a little?

  2. Oh, no! I'm so sorry to hear that.

What's the verdict? Sprained? Broken? Are you okay otherwise?

I feel your pain. When I fell, I saved my camera too, although the casing bows out a little bit. I'll have to be careful to protect it from dust, sand and water now.

    Owie, owie, owie!

  3. Taking photos can really be dangerous for falls! We go off all gawking and fall into whatever. Been there, done that, and trying to learn about taking pictures while remaining aware of where my feet are going. take care and hope it gets better quickly

  6. Wanted to let you know that I think I will live... It appears to be a bad sprain. I am able to walk or I should say hobble a bit. The problem is wearing shoes. They cause my ankle to swell causing pain. So I am currently staying off of it as much as possible. Can't let a little tumble keep me down!

  7. Glad it isn't to bad. But yes stay off it as much as possible for a few days or so.

We love our pictures and yes we can get into all sorts of trouble can't we. Always after that great shot.
    Take care.
